  • So much more than a podcast

I listen to and support many podcasts but this is by far my favorite. Mike Davis is such an invaluable source for all genres of horror in all forms- books, movies, radio dramas, etc. I have been turned on to so many incredible authors and amazing films. I highly recommend supporting Lovecraft eZine as a patron if you can afford it. It is a treasure trove for horror fans and a lovely community to boot.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jeffrey Ford: revealing the marvelous and the monstrous
Q: How do you approach the balance between grounding and magic in your stories?
Ford explains that grounding readers in concrete details and relatable human experiences allows the magic to land more effectively; the story should feel believable even as fantastical elements appear.
The Cthulhu Casebooks of Sherlock Holmes
Q: How do you maintain the authenticity of Sherlock Holmes in your writing?
I ensure that Watson remains a credible character and that Holmes is portrayed with the complexities we recognize from Doyle's stories.
"The Blood-Red Sphinx" from Dark Adventure Radio Theatre 😱 (H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society)
Q: What made you decide to go the old time radio route?
We were experimenting with using forms that were common when Lovecraft was writing to adapt his fiction.
Peter Clines, author of GOD'S JUNK DRAWER, 14, THE FOLD, EX-HEROES
Q: What is it about Cosmic Horror, Lovecraftian Horror that appeals to you personally?
I see Cosmic Horror as the ultimate haunted house story, and I'm drawn to tales where characters take a stand against overwhelming odds, even in the face of futility.
