I use to absolutely love this pod. Never missed an episode. But they’ve completely lost their way. The pod is far less captivating than it use to be, the stories featured are redundant, lack relatability, or are just simply not what originally drew me to this pod. As of late, I’ve completely stopped listening. I’ve tried tuning in and end up turning it off. The last two seasons were truly disappointing.
I always enjoy when Brette is on. She’s so interesting and her voice instantly makes the story more interesting. Very much enjoy the podcast overall!!!
Not loving the stories this season. Too science/behavior focused. I love the old seasons about breakups and dating, stories that felt more relatable to the average listener and love letters reader. Meredith is a great interviewer and story teller but the themes could be better.
Meredith Goldstein - your beautiful voice, full of rich timbre and melody, is a gift to the world. May you never stop talking and telling us your stories!
I appreciated the storytelling around Sharlene and Blake’s story, but I felt it lacked a full integrity without addressing what was going on with Sharlene’s daughter. We learned she was a young child; we learned about Sharlene’s addiction; we learned that Sharlene was spending pretty much all day, every day with Blake at the prison for years. And I just kept wondering: who was taking care of this child, and does she find this story quite as sweet as we’re supposed to?
