I love this podcast and Norman and Cassandra are good friends! I LOVE nerd analyzing!!đ
the concept of the podcast is really good. However, in many episodes I can't find complete information or sometimes incorrect information. Unfortunately, not that much research was done. Especially when it comes to the book
I am sure the hosts have seen the movies but they seem to only have a base knowledge. I donât find their conversations very insightful and they donât seem to be in sync on what actually happened in each minute and the constant references to future events is odd for this format. They seem to struggle to analyze and present info on the current minute. Doubt I will carry on as I have seen the movies on a regular basis and donât find them offering anything beyond my own knowledge.
Take this review for whatâs itâs worth. Iâm only 3 1/2 episodes in and so far this feels more like the hosts just wanted to have another podcast and less an examination of the movie. I am a huge fan of Lord of the Rings as well as all of Tolkienâs work. That being said I was super excited to find this podcast, as late as I did. The first episode, I get it thereâs not a lot to talk about. Itâs title screens and voice over work. I thought they did well with what was available. Granted most of the ... more
I generally enjoy this podcast but every once in awhile thereâs an episode where they disagree on the topic and I find one of the hosts really annoying when this happens. She canât agree to disagree ever and is sometimes really condescending to her partner. While there arenât many episodes like this, there are a few and at least for me I find the arguments obnoxious. Most of the time the podcast is a great companion to the movies.
I just discovered this podcast and Iâve already binged 10 episodes in one evening. Itâs so fun! The hosts are delightful and itâs a dream to revisit things in the extended editions minute by minute. If youâre a LOTR fan, try it! Youâll love it đđđ©đ»âđŸđ§đ»ââïžđ§đŒââïž
The hosts sound just like my family and I discussing the LotR.
This is a great podcast what more could you want making the best movies longer full of facts and information.
I just want to thank you two for continuing the podcast for so long. It has been full of great times and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours
So glad you guys are back! Gotta catch up on everything I missed.
A trilogy of films that truly deserves the Movies by Minutes treatment, and Norman and Cassandra do a wonderful job analyzing it. Great variety of episodes: some silly, some serious, some long, some short. Always fun whether they have a guest or are working on it just the two of them. They never fail to point out something I hadnât noticed and/or challenge me to think a new way about the story. I donât know what Iâll do once the series is over (go back and start at Ep 1 again?) but I am looking ... more
I love this podcast very much! I find it quite entertaining and amusing. I am excited to listen to people talk about how much they enjoy The Lord of the Rings and comment on their opinions about it.
I found this only a little while go started from the bottom and working my way up! So amazing!
This is a great podcast but kind of losing hope about a third series if you could reply and tell me wether I am wasting my time checking or not that would be great.
That was my old review but so good now its back you two are great i have seen all your episodes and they are all epic.
P.s mount doom is totally not a volcano
I enjoyed this podcast early on. However, listening to one person not understanding at all what the other is saying again and again and again has become...frustrating to listen to.
