Jack is not positive about the royals at all and coming from someone who watches every game, he seemed to not have even watched it. He is really bad at lifting up a fan base that is already not happy with the season.

I love this podcast and the royals. I especially like Jack and the problems he addresses, the could-be changes to the team that he goes through, and I think I’ve learned more about the royals listening to this podcast than watching the actual games themselves!
But on the other hand, Chance, the post cast host, is too critical on this team, even at their best. I can’t celebrate a good win when listening to the post cast. I get that the royals have disappointed this 2026 season, but that doesn’t... more

Pros and cons with this one. I’ll start with the good. Jack is a good host. He’s knowledgeable and clearly loves this team. Having a regular source of Royals talk is good, and he’s good with being up front if the schedule is going to change.
Unfortunately, those positives are washed out by the negatives. Jack seems hesitant, scared, or unwilling to call out the coaching staff, front office, or ownership. I can chalk this up to his position as a reporter but it’s a bit tiring.

This podcast is hard to evaluate. Jack, the main host is pretty solid. However Chance, who hosts the post game pods (which show up in the same feed) , is inarticulate, regularly unprepared, and out of the 5 of his I listened to, in 4 of them it appeared as though he did not even watch the game.
Jack does a good job following off-season content, but I am done with the in season pods.
