  • Lifelong Nets fan - good listen!

Good listen, lifelong Nets fan living in Chicago. Now that they’re not a good team and never on national TV it can be hard to keep up so really appreciate this podcast and the consistency with how often they’re posting. Just got league pass and as bad as they are always excited to keep up.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

ANALYST: Why Brooklyn Nets' Rookie Class Can Be FOUNDATION For SUCCESS Despite Early Criticisms
Q: What players could the Nets potentially be prioritizing for 2026, and what trades could they be looking at?
The host hints at deep guard depth and considers top guard prospects, underscoring the Nets' interest in high-potential wings and guards, while acknowledging that top-line decisions depend on medicals, scouting intel, and fit.
ANALYST: Why Brooklyn Nets' Rookie Class Can Be FOUNDATION For SUCCESS Despite Early Criticisms
Q: Are you happy with the Nets' draft picks or would you have wanted them to select other players with any of their picks from what you've seen up until now?
The assessment is that the class is historic with five first-round picks; two players (Yegor Diovin and Nolan Shroeray) look like rotation or better pieces, while others show encouraging but uneven development, suggesting two to three contributors could emerge.
ANALYST: Why Brooklyn Nets' Noah Clowney Has UNTAPPED Potential Despite TURBULENT Start to Career
Q: Do we think Noah Clowney can be a rotation player three to four years into the future on a playoff-caliber team?
The hosts are cautiously optimistic, citing improving two-point efficiency, rising free throw rate, and continued development in ball skills and defense as evidence that a meaningful rotation role is possible, provided the shooting continues to improve.
INSIDER: How Will The Brooklyn Nets BUILD Around Egor Demin, Rookie Core During PIVOTAL Summer?
Q: Should the Nets abandon the idea of Demin at point guard and move him off-ball to maximize his shooting and playmaking potential?
The hosts suggest keeping multiple ball handlers and pairing Demin with Nolan, rather than forcing him into a single-dimension role; the structure should consider Demin's strengths in vision and passing while recognizing physical and pacing limitations, with the offseason as a critical window for development.
INSIDER: How Will The Brooklyn Nets BUILD Around Egor Demin, Rookie Core During PIVOTAL Summer?
Q: What did you see in Egor Demin this season, and is his on-ball role being underutilized?
The consensus is nuanced: Demin has been used off the ball more than many expected, but his high draft-era expectations as a primary playmaker were probably overstated by some scouts; the adjustment to NBA-level athletes and a more limited role explains the apparent gap, though there is potential for growth with added strength and directional changes.
