  • Disappointing single focus on moribund football program

I used to subscribe to this show and really liked it for Wisconsin basketball. Now, it’s just a show on the moribund football program that’s going nowhere for the next 2 years.

We get one show after every basketball game. Meanwhile, we’re getting analysis of the best deck chair color on the Titanic (i.e., the best portal finds for the dead-in-the-water football program ) day after day after day. And it’s happening IN THE MIDDLE OF BASKETBALL SEASON.

It’s too bad— because the basketball analy... more

  • Locked on Badgers!

Ryan is knowledgeable and positive but not a homer. He also has great guests. Love when he talks to recruits and their families. Great podcast

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

NEW BEGINNING: Wisconsin Badgers REBUILD After Caroline Harvey, Lacey Eden DEPARTURE
Q: How confident are you that this dynasty keeps rolling under Coach Johnson?
The guest expresses strong confidence in Coach Johnson's ability to recruit and develop players who buy into the program's culture, believing the leadership and the sustained pipeline will keep Wisconsin competitive at the highest level.
NEW BEGINNING: Wisconsin Badgers REBUILD After Caroline Harvey, Lacey Eden DEPARTURE
Q: What are the three best home environments right now at Wisconsin?
The guest highlights the field house as a top venue due to its intensity and proximity, mentions the basketball and Coliseum atmosphere in other sports, and notes the mix of student sections that make the experience uniquely loud and engaging.
RECRUITING: Wisconsin Badgers Land Cole Reiter—Coach Davis TALKS About His NEXT-LEVEL Talent!
Q: What would be your scouting report on Cole Reiter?
He's a big, physical, athletic tackle who can move people, with sneaky athleticism for his size. He's developing in pass blocking and consistency, and has a strong work ethic and leadership potential, with the ability to be a major contributor at tackle as he moves to the college level.
DIFFERENCE-MAKER: Coach PRAISES DJ Davis’ ELITE Versatility and Grit in '27 Wisconsin Badgers class!
Q: When did Wisconsin maybe come into the mix and what stood out about the recruiting process for you?
Coach Cooper did a tremendous job in recruiting, Wisconsin's energy and the head coach's positive outlook stood out, and the visit to Madison solidified that it was a good fit for DJ's personality and development arc.
DIFFERENCE-MAKER: Coach PRAISES DJ Davis’ ELITE Versatility and Grit in '27 Wisconsin Badgers class!
Q: Man, thank you for the time, really do appreciate it. I want to start here, let's just kind of break down his game. If you had to scout DJ Davis, what would you put on a scouting report?
DJ's length and elite ball skills stand out, but more than that, his competitiveness and willingness to come downhill and fit the run as a safety distinguish him. He can high-point the ball like a receiver yet consistently get to and tackle the run at the line of scrimmage in the Big Ten, which is rare and valuable.
