  • Good podcast but website problems?

Trying to draw the owner’s attention: when I went to your site to look at your course offerings, I get spammed. I think your site has been hacked?

Otherwise, podcast has been good. I think there’s some fluff at times in your dialogue and repetition but I feel your main points are valuable.

How Much Should You Pay Yourself as a Business Owner?
Q: What should I look at in my books to decide my pay?
Look at your bank statements and your profit and loss, properly categorize transactions, and understand ownership draws versus payroll. If you're not using QuickBooks, still review statements to identify discretionary spends and ensure you're not over-drawing; proper bookkeeping reveals true expenses vs owner draws and helps you plan a consistent pay.
How Much Should You Pay Yourself as a Business Owner?
Q: How much should I be paying myself?
The amount depends on current profitability, costs, and how well you're capturing and understanding your numbers. Start by calculating your costs (including labor as a cost) and then determine what remains after taxes, debt, and other obligations; only that remaining amount should be considered for owner draws, while ensuring you never drain the business of necessary expenses.
