  • Amazing!

Excellent homilies from very holy priests. The universal Church needs more homilies like this every day. I love to share them as well with friends

  • Tradition in Action

There are many faithful who do not have the advantage of living near an Institute Apostolate and benefit greatly from Institute’s presence on internet. These sermons are a lifeline.

Traditional Catholic teaching, Truth in charity, is so much needed in our Church today where catechesis is failing and so many are abandoning Faith to the detriment of their souls.

There is something in each podcast that is a takeaway for each Catholic. Listen carefully and ask the Lord to give you that small piece t... more

  • Overall Much Better than the Norvus Ordo content

The sermon on the rosary was just “ok”. Pope John Paul II intended the Luminous Mysteries as a gift to the world. I’m sure it’s helped more than harmed. Too much time in jest regarding this gift. This episode just made me sad instead of inspiring me.

  • Must for Society of the Sacred Heart members!

I’m a member of the lay Society in the Institute, but I don’t live near an Institute apostolate at present, so this podcast is a vital lifeline for keeping the Institute’s charism a regular part of my days.

  • Separate channels, one for each language, would be better.

I like to listen to sermons and talks from the Institute, but, sadly, the only language I understand well enough is English. It would be much better to have separate channels for each language. As it is, the Spanish and German episodes make the channel inconvenient for me to listen to.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Beyond the Spire! (How it works: The Eight Modes)
Q: What's the difference or what's the concordance between minor and major scale and maybe mode one and six or another combination, relationship between modern music and modern ancient music?
The discussion highlights that Gregorian modes are defined by a small set of pitches around the final and reciting tones, making the sound fundamentally different from the modern major/minor system, with emphasis on modal color rather than a fixed scale.
Ask a Priest Live
Q: Canon, does Jesus present in Protestant churches?
Jesus is not Eucharistically present in Protestant churches because they lack valid sacraments, but as God, he is present everywhere.
Ask a Priest Live
Q: Canon, I was listening to a Protestant podcast and they were discussing Jeremiah chapter 29.
The two verses were removed from modern Bibles likely because they are considered modern translations that are suspect; however, traditional translations like the Douay-Rheims include them.
Ask A Priest Live
Q: Is it wrong for me to congratulate him on getting married in this way?
I wouldn't congratulate him.
Ask A Priest Live
Q: Is there a reasoning behind the order in which saints are listed in the Canon of the Mass or in the Litany of Saints?
The order in the Canon of the Mass of the listing of the, particularly of the apostles, pretty closely mirrors that of the listing of the apostles in the three synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and also in the Acts of the Apostles.
