  • Podcast changes

I like Chip Ingram and Living on the Edge. I have been listening to him for years. However, there has been a recent change I do not like. In the past they have dropped a new episode every week day with one half of a sermon one day and one half the next. Now they seem to be dropping two episodes every day adding a sermon in its entirety. Either do one or the other, not both. Make a separate podcast for the sermons.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Connecting Their Story to the Gospel, Part 1
Q: Would you take just a minute and explain what is this power you're talking about and why is that so important?
The power comes from God, not from human wisdom or polished arguments; the cross reveals God's power and presence, and spiritual boldness comes from the Holy Spirit guiding natural conversations rather than a script.
Connecting Their Story to the Gospel, Part 2
Q: How do you talk about Jesus to someone who doesn't view the Bible as authoritative?
Affirm the truth people already sense and connect it to their experiences, using scripture as experiential support rather than as an argumentative proof.
Understanding the Secular Culture, Part 2
Q: How do you persuade someone when the problem is not a lack of logic but spiritual blindness?
Acknowledge the spiritual battle, pray for God's supernatural intervention, and cultivate genuine, compassionate relationships that reflect biblical truth.
Understanding the Secular Culture, Part 2
Q: What should parents or grandparents say to a young person who believes what seems nuts to them?
Build a bridge rather than laugh, recognizing the problem is spiritual blindness and praying for God to reveal truth beyond words.
Softening Hearts with Spiritual Conversations, Part 1
Q: Why are spiritual conversations critical in a post-Christian culture?
They address underlying assumptions and remove barriers that obscure the cross, making it possible to communicate the gospel in a way that is comprehensible and relatable to people who have some knowledge of church or religion.
