  • Podcast changes

I like Chip Ingram and Living on the Edge. I have been listening to him for years. However, there has been a recent change I do not like. In the past they have dropped a new episode every week day with one half of a sermon one day and one half the next. Now they seem to be dropping two episodes every day adding a sermon in its entirety. Either do one or the other, not both. Make a separate podcast for the sermons.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Step Down!, Part 1
Q: What's the most important thing to understand about that command to pray for leaders?
The key is understanding the context: Paul is instructing a persecuted church to pray for rulers like Nero and to live in a way that supports the gospel, showing that peaceful, godly living can advance the message even in hostile environments.
Step Down!, Part 2
Q: What practical steps can Christians take to change how they are perceived by their communities?
Lead with humility, ask questions to understand others, avoid public strife, and embody love and service so the gospel becomes believable through actions.
Strongholds Must Fall, Part 1
Q: Is there a lie you have believed for so long?
Yes; lies about God, about oneself, and about life form strongholds, but through identifying the lie and inviting God's truth, a stronghold can fall.
Effectively Communicating (God's Love to Your Mate), Part 2
Q: What are you willing to do?
The response is open-ended as there's no obligation to commit to action, but it provides transparency in the relationship.
Effectively Communicating (God's Love to Your Mate), Part 2
Q: What do you wish?
The answer could include wishes about lifestyle improvements, relationship changes, or material desires.
