I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. As a non sports fan, particularly football (sorry!), I found the telling of this story compelling. It is a nice change from the typical podcast and the host certainly took the time to carry out an in depth investigation. Looking for to listening to future podcasts by this host. Keep up the good work!
This is not just for sports fans - it’s a very interesting story about how one event changed a lot of lives in a town in New Jersey. Matt does a terrific job of capturing the flavor of Montclair, NJ, interesting backstories on the players of the team, and the pain of loosing a big game.
This podcast has been well worth the download! The reporting is top-notch and the narrative is extremely gripping. Matt Stanmyre is one of the best in the biz, and this pod is further proof of that. NJ Advance Media knocked it out of the park once again!
As someone who lives in Jersey now but didn’t grow up here this was fascinating and well reported.
