I started listening last year after coming across the podcast, during my research into the magical world of empire. I started listening to get more of an understanding and pov from real players and didn’t expect to stick around for more than one or two episodes, but I am absolutely hooked! Every episode is a joy to listen to, it’s so interesting to hear all the different things the gang get up to at each event. I couldn’t believe my ears when I first heard someone say “rocky was wielding his big... more
Hi Lars and Tarps,
I really enjoy the podcast! I’d love to go to Empire one day too, but since I live in the Netherlands and I’m only 13, that’s a bit difficult.
However, I’m going to my first LARP soon and I’m really looking forward to it!
I had one more question: what’s the best place to buy LARP swords?
And could you all try to pronounce the word “…” in Dutch?
Greetings,
Bas Knutselaar
Brilliant LARP podcast, especially for Empire, I learned a lot listening before my first event, and now I enjoy listening to hearing what else was going on in Anvil (and sometimes some much needed context for some random things I heard about in play!)
My favorite Empire focused podcast for all the different Nation points of view. It's so fun to hear about what happened, keep up with your stories, and see how you've evolved your characters and gameplay!
This is my last year playing all four events of Empire, but I'm glad I'll still get to listen along to your stories in the future. I do painting commissions IC, and my first one was for Tristian. If your listeners would like a one of a kind piece of Imperial art history, this is the year to g... more
Listened to this on the lead up to my first time at anvil and it’s great for the varied takes from different nations. I ended up camping on the edge of Varushka opposite the League from where the familiar dulcet tones of Tom could be heard drifting across on the wind (is there always a strong wind from the League?). The last time I heard that voice was in the spooky episode so I had a fleeting moment of fear. Now I’ve caught up and heard about the brutal nugget denying death cleaves he deals out... more
