  • U want the Hemp industry to grow?

Guests like Laura Sullivan do not help the industrial Hemp cause. Alienating mainline farmers with rhetoric like hers is not going to further this industry. You need the acres you need the participation from us. You will not get it if you keep having guests like that…

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Meet NHA's New Director Sully Sullivan
Q: How did you get into Hemp in the first place? Did you have a Hemp aha moment?
Sully describes a long personal journey beginning with a crossroads moment about 16 years ago, shifting from a broad career path to dedicating himself to hemp because of its historical significance, potential as a rotational crop, and a desire to reconnect rural farming communities with the plant.
Maciej Kowalski: Be Your Own Supply Chain
Q: What changes for you once you are listed on the stock exchange?
There are more restrictions on what can be said about finances, as price manipulation concerns exist, but the core business operations—growth, processing, and product development—continue and shareholder expectations are part of the long-term plan.
Maciej Kowalski: Be Your Own Supply Chain
Q: You've, is that an IPO? Is that what they call that, an initial public offering?
It's not a traditional IPO; the listing happened after earlier crowdfunding share offerings, essentially splitting the process into a private share offering followed by a public listing to trade shares.
Pushing Progress in the DC Swamp
Q: Is the White House focusing on hemp right now, and how likely is progress before the November deadline?
They express cautious optimism, noting some priority for hemp within broader policy priorities, and expect movement through either a legislative bill or executive/administrative actions, but acknowledge nothing is guaranteed yet.
Pushing Progress in the DC Swamp
Q: Can you talk about the help you're receiving moving it forward in Congress, or the relationship you have with the White House?
The guests describe ongoing engagement with congressional offices and White House leadership, emphasizing that while progress is incremental, the framework is gaining traction and aligns with efforts to support industrial hemp while managing cannabinoid concerns.
