I found this podcast when I started reading fourth wing and LOVED having someone to follow along with I personally don’t have any friends who are into books so it felt so good to have friends to read along and hear your thoughts and theories love you guys 🫶🏼
How do you read fantasy world building troupes about abuse, classism, and authoritarian governments all day and then say you aren’t political and follow politics in your daily life? This episode was baffling to me as a Christian because it showed how little y’all cared about other tragedies that don’t fit your narrative. I unfollowed.
As a first time TOG reader it was really fun to have a bookclub style format - I’d read the prescribed chapters then listen to Melissa and Ellie’s debrief on what I just read. It worked out really great, until two big spoilers were revealed.
1. EOS/TOD Tandem: There was a big Maeve spoiler that caught me off guard, I know Melissa apologized for it but it was arguably one of the biggest reveals of the series and I feel like it got ruined for me.
2. KOA (81-100): Dorian’s father’s real name is n... more
I find these two young ladies to be funny and an enjoyable listen….most of the time. However listening to them discuss TOG especially how they bash on Chaol every time he is in a scene has me questioning why I listen. Did Chaol make mistakes, yes, but so did Aelin. Not liking a character is fine, but brining up your hate of them every time you talk about them was too much for me. I might just have to DNF this series with them, and hope their hate for Chaol is a one off.
I stumbled on this podcast on YouTube when I was looking for Onyx Storm content. I wanted to hear other people’s ideas and conspiracies for how the series will play out. When watching their theories episode, I felt like I was in a room with friends who shared the same love and enthusiasm for the series as I did. After watching a few more episodes I decided to add their podcast to the weekly rotation for my work commute. Not only am I getting new book recommendations in order to listen to more of... more
