  • Good host

Prefer only long format podcasts 30 minutes to 2 hours so my playlist doesn’t get spammed so can turn on automatic downloads. Keep up the good content thanks.

Kerre Woodham used to seem like a really smart, sunny personality, but on this show she’s biased, bitter & frankly, unimaginative. It’s not the Woodham I remember. When she has had another perspective on the show I sometimes thought she’ll “get it”, but sadly no. I’m disappointed.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Todd Stephenson: ACT MP questions the use of the Major Events Fund on a clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Auckland FC
Q: Is that an ideological battle against corporate welfare?
Yes, there is opposition to rebates like the film rebate scheme and a push for a level playing field where every country is on the same footing, arguing for more transparency and less selective government funding.
Todd Stephenson: ACT MP questions the use of the Major Events Fund on a clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Auckland FC
Q: What's your problem with this, because everybody else is doing it all across Australia?
Our problem is ACT is always looking for the best value for taxpayer dollars. This is a slush fund, a $70 million program, and in this case taxpayer funding going to billionaire-owned football clubs to attract an event in New Zealand. We question the necessity and contestability of the funding.
Clare Gunn: dermoscopist on the new technology set to help improve cancer screenings
Q: Do you have a website where people can learn more?
Yes, skinscape360.co.nz.
Clare Gunn: dermoscopist on the new technology set to help improve cancer screenings
Q: So can I ask how much does a Skinscape 360 cost?
The standalone skin cancer check is 185, while the full scan plus skin cancer check is 449, with discussions underway with insurance companies.
Clare Gunn: dermoscopist on the new technology set to help improve cancer screenings
Q: Okay. So how much of a game changer is it compared to the bloke who has a look at my skin with a magnifying glass?
It will substantially reduce guesswork by providing objective, baseline imagery that can be compared over time, taking the pressure off clinicians and enabling earlier detection.
