  • Good host

Prefer only long format podcasts 30 minutes to 2 hours so my playlist doesn’t get spammed so can turn on automatic downloads. Keep up the good content thanks.

  • Unimpressed

Kerre Woodham used to seem like a really smart, sunny personality, but on this show she’s biased, bitter & frankly, unimaginative. It’s not the Woodham I remember. When she has had another perspective on the show I sometimes thought she’ll “get it”, but sadly no. I’m disappointed.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Chris Hipkins: Labour Leader talks capital gains taxes, coalitions, cross-party commitments
Q: What are you going to do about that?
We will have a different energy policy before the next election; it won't just be about conversations, but it will be about making sure we do something about power prices.
Chris Hipkins: Labour Leader talks capital gains taxes, coalitions, cross-party commitments
Q: How are you going to convince us to go back to you, back to Labour? What are you actually going to do to convince a lot of Labour people that jumped?
I think we were trying to do too much. Our next government will be much more focused on the core priorities that I've set out: jobs, health, homes, cost of living.
Chris Hipkins: Labour Leader talks capital gains taxes, coalitions, cross-party commitments
Q: Have you learned your lesson from that?
Absolutely. I've heard that criticism.
Chris Mackenzie: Ferry Holdings Ltd Chair on the new Cook Strait Ferry deal
Q: It sounds like you're looking at the project completely differently from the architects of IREX. Like they were looking at the best, most amazing, most incredible project. You're going in with, this is the set amount of money we've got. We have to make it work.
Yes, that's right. And what we are also doing is making sure, and I've said this to a lot of people in the past few days, and they look at me and think, what am I talking about? This project is not about two ships and a port.
Chris Mackenzie: Ferry Holdings Ltd Chair on the new Cook Strait Ferry deal
Q: Could it be that by cobbling together everything, we're going to end up with the Okapi, the African animal that looks like it's been made from a zebra and a horse and a giraffe?
No, what we have been very careful to do is to ensure that alongside the new vessels, which are an up and bucket version of the current K boats that go across the straits, we have made sure that the terminals will be up to standard.
