  • WONDERFUL

I’ve been a fan of Ryan’s dry, snappy and well thought out broadcasts for the past few years. When Kate Hawksby left I couldn’t imagine who could possibly follow, but by god Ryan’s done it!

He presents the facts, asks the questions we all want answered and is relentless in his approach. Couldn’t imagine a better result.

  • Leaning

This station certainly leans to the ‘right’ in this weird woke world. But that’s obvious and god knows we need something to balance out the bias in the other direction.

Full Show Podcast: 09 June 2026
Q: Why is the QE2 National Trust funding increase considered important?
It supports biodiversity on private land, helps farmers with fencing and trapping, and strengthens land preservation while expanding protected areas.
Kate Acland: Beef and Lamb Chair on the red meat sector's annual $50 billion spending contribution
Q: Did these figures come as a surprise to you?
Kate Acland explains that the numbers align with expectations from the five-yearly report and notes an uptick in jobs, with the sector continuing to underpin regional economies and overall national growth.
Jordan Williams: Taxpayers' Union Executive Director on the government quietly setting aside the money from next year's budget
Q: Why is transparency important in an election year?
Transparency matters to ensure public scrutiny of spending promises and to prevent manipulation of budgets for political gain, especially when funds are pre-committed and undisclosed.
Jordan Williams: Taxpayers' Union Executive Director on the government quietly setting aside the money from next year's budget
Q: What is your main concern about pre-committing money for next year?
The main concern is the lack of transparency about where the money is going, which raises questions about accountability and whether political motives are driving the spending decisions.
Steve Watt: Police Association President on a senior police officer's Labour candidacy
Q: Are you concerned by this?
Yes, but with the caveat that police neutrality must be maintained; the main concern is ensuring clear policies and processes so officers who enter politics can separate their policing duties from political roles.
