「植物考古學」顧名思義將植物遺留作為主要的研究對象，它與地質環境、生態環境、氣候、動物等一起作為環境考古學中的焦點。
但！借助科技考古的方法，植物考古不只是討論長在山海各地的植被，還可以把肉眼不可見的植物遺留像是礦石般分析，追索它們的前身與前世。
本次來賓是新科博士、研究植物澱粉粒的以琳老師，
與我們聊聊熱騰騰的紐西蘭留學與自身考古學學術歷程之餘，也向我們介紹當今東亞的植物考古學研究，和台灣植物考古學可能發展的方向。

考古不是單次發掘完就回家，
也並非標定原住民族居住場域為「研究對象」。
而是以長期觀察與建立互信的動態為基礎，
對一個地方歷史作深度的追尋與靈魂拷問。
瑪玲老師在經歷二十多年與高士部落的合作和研究，
仍然認為「我自己也還不知道，我真的了解了什麼，我真的做了什麼」
但是過程中凝聚連結、帶來方向，更多呈現在地歷史／文化資產的思索與行動浮現。
在考古探索未知的路上沒有正確答案，
與當地社群的關係與互動模式也沒有唯一解，
但需要一路尊重、溝通、學習、修正，尋找適洽的位置。... more
