I love this podcast but it sounds like everyone is reading monotone In my opinion. Also I feel like there is too much reading from the book and we’re missing out on other aspects. I don’t mean to offend if that’s what it seems like.
Awesome pod!
If you ever thought to yourself how good the Harry Potter movies were until you read the books and ended up infuriated by the adaptions… THIS IS YOUR PODCAST!
All the details, all the cursing, all the adult jokes, all the sarcasm, all the best things about a podcast…
The best podcast I have ever listened to in my life. It is magical in the true Harry Potter sense of the word. Gives you that nostalgic warm feeling you got the first time you read Harry Potter. It has become a regular part of my mornings.
Straight from trial to train? So dumb! I loved this chapter. It was so fun. And I think the Prefect thing was left out of the movies entirely. Ron and Hermione never became Prefects.... ugh.

Two hosts provide a playful, in-depth book-vs-film analysis of the Harry Potter series, focusing on how adaptations handle pivotal scenes, character dynamics, and pacing across chapters. Episodes mix sharp critique with humor, banter, and pop-culture references, often calling out what films omit or alter and highlighting moments that land differently in print versus screen. The show stands out for its repeatable format (chapter-by-chapter with film comparisons), strong host chemistry, and a frank, nerdy enthusiasm that appeals to devoted fans who enjoy detailed scene-by-scene discussions and cultural context around the wizarding world.
