This is well produced and Ryan is a terrific writer, storyteller and narrator. He comes across as a decent, ethical guy. Partly recorded while trekking you feel like your really there. But the macho perspective wore thin for me. Man pushes his limits, conquers aggressively inhospitable mountain, finds humility yadda yadda. I'd love to hear hanky's perspective. I'm left feeling so anxious about my upcoming ABC trek I'm considering cancelling. Not the goal when I started listening!

I don’t know what I was expecting when I started listening but I can honestly say one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. I’ve never had any desire to trek anywhere and now all I can think about is this journey and how amazing it would be to get even half way there! Also the last episode had me ugly crying. Beautiful. Well done.
