, thanks.
big bowl of golby.
easily my favorite book podcast—wins by miles by choosing books of all kinds and times (not just what’s coming out); doing excellent critical work in describing the style and approach of the writing, not just the plot; reading nice little excerpts so you can actually hear what a book sounds like; and being very very funny.
Nice to hear him a-laughing and a-lolling with Sheena Patel, who he knows really really really well and goes drinking with but not a friend, no way. Nice that she blurbed his book too. I got the measure of this. Cool.
Got me out of a huge reading slump with some great recommendations
