The episodes I listened to were rarely more than an advertisement to hire her as a guide or consultant and gave no free advice about specific sites in Japan to visit, especially in Kyoto, where there are hundreds of temples and gardens open to the public almost daily. Time is far better spent visiting Japan-guide.com and watching their videos on YouTube, or reading the dozens and dozens of quality articles and itineraries on travelcaffeine.com. I love this podcast! It has great tips from someone who truly cares about tourists who are visiting Japan. Miyuki is informative, organized, and very helpful. She has great guests too that bring new insights and make me excited to visit Japan! With great focus on the lesser known and visited places you can learn where to go to avoid crowds. And she still tells you how to visit the popular spots too. So you if you want to learn from an insider who really knows her stuff and cares, this is the rig... more

I’m planning an 8 week trip in Japan next year, I’m about a quarter of the way through the podcast episodes and am finding them very helpful in helping plan my trip.
Mikyuki is great! Her episodes are very insightful and detailed, they have been helping me to know what I want to see and do during my stay (aside from eating ramen every day! 😋).
Miyuki’s episodes are helping me to build my traveller confidence, I look forward to bingeing the rest of the episodes!
