Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Strength After Survival: Sarri Singer on Trauma, Healing, and Resilience
Q: What role do community events like the Boston Marathon play in the healing process?
They provide a tangible, public display of resilience where survivors honor those lost and run for those still facing recovery, turning personal trauma into a collective act of empowerment and remembrance.
Strength After Survival: Sarri Singer on Trauma, Healing, and Resilience
Q: How does Strength to Strength support survivors around the world beyond the initial trauma?
We run peer-led programs like Survivor Circle and Survivor's Exchange, connect with professionals for trauma-informed care, and create long-term support networks across 16 countries so survivors know they are not alone.
Strength After Survival: Sarri Singer on Trauma, Healing, and Resilience
Q: Can you describe the moment you realized you wanted to turn your experience into a movement for others?
I decided I didn't want to be the victim the attacker hoped to create; I wanted to ensure the event wouldn't define me and to build a community that could help others move forward, which led to establishing Strength to Strength.
War, Intelligence, and the Future of Israel: A Conversation with Yaakov Katz
Q: Another major point was the delay in establishing a central public diplomacy/information directorate. Why did it take so long, and what are the implications for Israel's messaging abroad?
There has been a long-standing neglect of a centralized public diplomacy structure; without a designated head to coordinate messaging, visuals, and outreach, the country misses opportunities to counter narratives and defend its actions on the global stage.
War, Intelligence, and the Future of Israel: A Conversation with Yaakov Katz
Q: One thing that I wanted to ask you coming out of our last conversation, Yaakov, is how has intelligence gathering and human intelligence changed since October 7th?
Human intelligence gaps were exposed on the eve of October 7th; since then Israel has been rebuilding its human asset base with a focus on creating a more cohesive, cross-agency flow of intelligence and ensuring that information actually reaches decision-makers.
