  • There is Echo in here!

I was a huge fan back in the 80s and all of a sudden remember them again early this year. It is wonderful to find this podcast wherein Courtney and Shane share their love and knowledge of the band’s music and history. Now I know what a sea shanty is and how important it is to Bunnymen’s music.

By the way, I think “Read it Books” was probably an actual conversation between Ian and Julian Cope. (All those “you said” and “I said”).

  • Follow Down the Rabbit Hole

Eschewing the standard bio treatment in favor of a more appropriately winding and esoteric approach, this show packs in loads of fearlessly entertaining journeys down side roads, each adding critical context and layers to this already fascinating story. Like all good seekers, they’re not afraid to go where the story takes them, and lucky you...you get to go along. One of the most informative AND entertaining band histories I’ve ever encountered.

  • So glad this exists!

This kind of niche podcasting is exactly what my brain needs right now. Courtney and Shane have a genuine love and respect for their subject, and it shows in the way they leave no stone unturned as they traverse the post-punk new wave music scene.
