  • One worthy

Leistikow and Dochterman are the only guys worthy on this podcast feed. Williams and Hassel would be valuable if they didn’t try to act cool and comical. You guys aren’t funny. You’re huge dorks.

  • Obnoxious free throw noises

Re may 19 Murphy show…. The noises played when opponents shoot free throws and throughout atlanta Dream hone games are beyond obnoxious. I think that’s the norm for a lot of wnba games. I hate it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

CW Pod with Nate Boulton: Can Congress Actually Fix College Sports?
Q: In your view, is there any chance Congress will actually fix this in the near term?
There may be pressure and bipartisan activity, but the reality is that meaningful reform will take time, with competing interests among conferences, athletes, and sponsors; a durable solution likely hinges on a collective bargaining framework rather than a quick legislative patch.
Legends & Listeners: 24-Team Playoff Momentum, Pollard Fires Shots & Big Ten Meetings Recap
Q: What are the main objections from other conferences like the SEC?
The primary objection centers on the financial implications of losing their own championship games and the potential revenue drop, as well as concerns about how the new format would affect traditional power dynamics.
Legends & Listeners: 24-Team Playoff Momentum, Pollard Fires Shots & Big Ten Meetings Recap
Q: What is the main reason the Big Ten is backing the 2014 playoff plan?
The Big Ten sees the playoff format as a way to elevate the league's profile, protect access to the playoff field, and ensure meaningful late-season games that keep fan interest and ticket sales high.
CW Pod: 24-Team CFP Debate, Big Ten's View On Pollard & Future of Bowl Games with Scott Dochterman
Q: When you first watched Pollard's remarks, what was your immediate reaction to how it was perceived by others?
My take was that Pollard's comments came across as impulsive and not fully thought through, prompting a broader debate about the long-term direction of college athletics and its governance.
Legends & Listeners: What Iowa teams could have made an expanded CFP? McCollum Extension and more
Q: What did you make of Ben McCollum's contract extension?
The hosts agree it was the right move, highlighting McCollum's track record, his rise from smaller programs to a top-tier coaching position, and the belief that he's won over the Iowa fanbase and administration with his leadership and results.
