  • Duplication?

For the most part, I enjoy listening to Cyclone Fanatic podcasts. For a while now, and especially after the introduction of the Daily Clone, I am finding the content redundant. I listened to the post game review of the KU men’s game last night. I listened to the review of it on the Daily Clone. And when I saw the Williams and Blum podcast on my downloads this afternoon, I instantly deleted it. Why would I want to listen to Williams talk over Blum for 40 minutes rehashing the same news I’ve alrea... more

  • Pathetic…just like the football programs history.

Nebraska fan here, had the misfortune of stumbling across this podcast. Just two idiots circle jerking over one of the most pathetic programs in the entire history of the sport. No boys, it’s not a good day to be a Cyclone. It should be a shameful and embarrassing one.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Let Him Cook feat. Tamin Lipsey: Building a legacy at Iowa State, life after Ames, and more
Q: How soon did you know you might be starting as a freshman point guard?
I was nervous at first but competed hard in summer practices; after Jeremiah Williams got hurt, I realized I would be closer to playing time and eventually started, which helped me grow.
1-on-1 with offensive coordinator Tyler Roehl
Q: How are you a better football coach now since the last time you were in Ames?
Exposure to higher-level players and NFL environments sharpened his coaching philosophy, particularly in offensive detail, install efficiency, and player development, which he believes will translate to improved coaching clarity and system execution in Ames.
1-on-1 with defensive coordinator Jesse Bobbit | Williams & Blum
Q: What is your defensive philosophy and what do you want to accomplish in year one?
The plan is to stop the run, play physical and fast, use a four-down front, mix pressures, and keep the back end versatile with multiple personnel packages to fit the offense of the Big 12.
Williams & Blum: Questions from fans as football season approaches (July 19, 2026)
Q: Does Jamie Pollard have 100% of possible donors maxed out, and could a new AD find more support?
No, you're never 100% maxed out; there are always more donors to engage, and a new athletic director could find additional support through different strategies and younger donor engagement.
DAILY CLONE: Rogers explains speed over size and how impressive Bobby Terrell is (July 9, 2026)
Q: How does the roster weight differ from last year and what does that mean for the defense?
Rogers explains that the team is prioritizing speed and movement efficiency, with players getting lighter and faster to fit an NFL-style system.
