  • Duplication?

For the most part, I enjoy listening to Cyclone Fanatic podcasts. For a while now, and especially after the introduction of the Daily Clone, I am finding the content redundant. I listened to the post game review of the KU men’s game last night. I listened to the review of it on the Daily Clone. And when I saw the Williams and Blum podcast on my downloads this afternoon, I instantly deleted it. Why would I want to listen to Williams talk over Blum for 40 minutes rehashing the same news I’ve alrea... more

  • Pathetic…just like the football programs history.

Nebraska fan here, had the misfortune of stumbling across this podcast. Just two idiots circle jerking over one of the most pathetic programs in the entire history of the sport. No boys, it’s not a good day to be a Cyclone. It should be a shameful and embarrassing one.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DAILY CLONE: 1-on-1 with Will Slagle (April 29, 2026)
Q: How did farm life influence your recruitment and your decision-making process?
Farming has shaped his work ethic and time management, and schools valued that background as a meaningful talking point; it provided a unique lens through which coaches could get to know him beyond football, reinforcing his commitment to a program that respects those roots.
DAILY CLONE: 1-on-1 with Will Slagle (April 29, 2026)
Q: What stood out on your visit with the new staff that made you believe it was a better fit than before?
The position coach and offensive coordinator stood out, along with sustained conversations that built trust; ongoing communication and a sense of family within the staff helped reaffirm his choice to stay connected with Iowa State.
DAILY CLONE: 1-on-1 with Will Slagle (April 29, 2026)
Q: Take me back to when you committed the first time, when you did it in the tailgating lots. When did you decide that that's what you wanted to do, and how cool the moment was that, knowing that that'll still be looked back on as, as when Will Slagle became a Cyclone.
The decision was driven by a deep connection to the program and staff; the initial commitment felt like aligning with the right people and system, and over time the relationships with coaches reinforced that choice, especially when the new staff showed strong fit and genuine care beyond football.
Williams & Blum: Spring Showcase preview, mailbag, and more
Q: What should the new football staff do to build fan support, sell tickets, and stimulate donors?
They should focus on authentic, ongoing engagement with fans, introduce new coaches to the community through accessible media appearances, and actively showcase players to build personal connections; in parallel, improve the in-stadium experience and take advantage of home games to convert casual attendees into season-ticket holders.
DAILY CLONE: 1-on-1 with Cade Kelderman (April 23, 2026)
Q: What influenced Cade Kelderman's decision to transfer to South Dakota?
Cade says the move was motivated by a strong cultural fit, the coaching staff's vision for his role, and his desire for a final year where he could contribute meaningfully and still pursue his education.
