  • These two need to figure out how to not talk over each other and, ESPECIALLY, their guest. The poor guy was trying to answer the question, that the host was obviously so proud of thinking of that had to go on, and on, talking over the guest who just couldn't get a word in edgewise. The hosts do it constantly to each other too, how hard is it to notice someone else is talking? Other podcasts seem to figure it out, so is it rudeness or ignorance?

  • Great inspiring resource for do it yourself-ers

My top retirement goal is to organize our family photos, including those inherited from my parents and my husbands parents. I feel so lucky to have chanced upon this podcast. This is really about digital and paper photo organizing - and not scrapbooking or albuming - especially for all those photos in different formats, sizes, digital locations, etc., which is a problem we all have. The podcast offers tons of tips, info about where to learn more, is easy to listen to, and has helped me get sta... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Season 3 - Episode 26 - Paul Einarsen Apple Photos Part Two
Q: What exactly is the Shared Library and who should use it?
The Shared Library is a separate Apple Photos library hosted on the creator's iCloud account that invites others to contribute or view, and it's best for couples or close partners who want a shared pool of photos while maintaining individual accounts and control. It requires clear ground rules because everyone can edit, delete, or move photos, and access is all-or-nothing for the shared pool.
Season 4 Episode 36 - Heather Nickerson
Q: What types of security risks do photos actually pose?
Photos can reveal exact locations, routines, and even sensitive personal data in the background; they can expose things like home addresses, vehicle information, and school details, creating opportunities for targeted scams and privacy invasions.
Season 3-Episode-28 - Tammy Copenhaver
Q: What is the connection between photo management and privacy?
Tammy explains that every action with photos—posting, sharing, and managing metadata—must be deliberate about what is shared and where, including considering location data and cloud storage settings.
Season 3 - Episode 25 - Paul Einarsen Apple Photos Part One
Q: Where are people most likely to get tripped up with the new Apple redesign?
The biggest issue is understanding where photos are stored and how they are accessed, since the interface reorganized many functions that used to be in clear, centralized places, making users feel like they have to relearn basic workflows.
Season 2 Episode 14 - John Spear
Q: What are some best practices for photo scanning?
Start with the highest resolution image possible, ensure color adjustments, and provide JPEGs for compatibility.
