I am really enjoying and learning more about my comedy heroes. The interviews are candid and enlightening, and the podcast is pretty honest and nonjudgmental about the subjects—such a breath of fresh air! I don’t write a lot of these reviews, but enjoyed The Hall so much that I felt like I should. Check it out for yourself!!
Great content but the woman narrating isn't very good. She sounds dull, and she'll enunciate some words then say something like innernet instead of internet. And then out of the blue she'll curse as if that adds anything to the story.
The Hall is an excellent podcast. It’s one of those that is engagingly and intelligently done, well researched, great topics. Even if the subject of a particular episode isn’t a favorite it’s still fascinating to listen to. Really puts these individuals into the context of history both in terms of their influences and how they influence. Reminds me of another of my favorite podcasts You Must Remember This. Very well done- I hope The Hall sticks around!
Brilliant recognition of the life and times of the great comedienne, Joan Rivers. Both funny and poignant with fascinating interviews of many who were close to her, including her daughter, Melissa. Mandatory listening!
Even fifteen years after he left us, everyone is still talking about the brilliance of George Carlin. Hear - on this first episode of Netflix THE HALL - about the man and his stand-up from some funny people who knew him.
