  • Rob Harrington

Do whatever you absolutely can to retain him. You’re all good at what you do, but he is the best analyst I’ve ever come across. Fair, educated, invested.

No insider interests, just saying. Keep it up.

  • New Arena

I believe that Carolina basketball needs a new arena. I would love for it to be on campus but it’s time for a new one. There should have been a massive renovation 20 years ago before the scandal happened.

  • Get better technical support

Long time basketball listener and love the various shows. Just started listening to football this year, mainly because of how good Tommy is. Post WF game episode - you can't have someone in cyborg voice try to talk that many times - makes the show seem very amateur, which of course it's not. Go Heels!

  • Good takes

I appreciate the takes on a young basketball season that are realistic and fair instead of just Carolina fans getting overly amped too early bc of a promising freshman. Please Sharrell get a cough drop 🙏🏻

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

This Week in UNC Baseball: Road Ahead Gets Tougher | Inside Carolina | College Baseball
Q: Can you describe the toughest moment you've had to manage on the field recently and how you addressed it in real time?
For Forbes, the toughest moments involve balancing immediate discipline with learning; he emphasizes correcting on the spot, preserving team culture, and ensuring players understand the reasons behind decisions, while keeping focus on performance and the bigger goals.
Ben McCollum - UNC Candidate Closer Look | College Basketball Analysis
Q: What would need to change at North Carolina?
UNC would need to support a coach who can bridge a system-driven approach with high-level recruiting and GM-like responsibilities, ensuring a smoother portal integration and a faster acclimation to the expectations of a blue-blood program. The panel notes that a quicker track record of success and demonstrable player development in the NBA pipeline would help mitigate skepticism.
Ben McCollum - UNC Candidate Closer Look | College Basketball Analysis
Q: What would need to change with Ben McCollum's roster construction style as we know it?
The panel suggests he would need to adapt to UNC's talent level and pipeline, leveraging better athletes and a more NBA-entry oriented development track, while retaining his spacing and decision-making focus. The overarching idea is that he can adjust his system to the caliber of players UNC can attract, but early success would depend on effective transition play and getting top guards to fit his framework.
UNC's Commitment to Baseball Success w Scott Forbes | Inside Carolina | College Baseball
Q: So, let me ask the question out here a ton. Said pitcher walks a couple of guys or walks a guy on four pitches, your batter comes up, rolls over the first pitch. What's the mindset there? Is that your on-go mindset that you're talking about, or is that a wild one?
It depends on the individual pitcher, but we train both the take and the on-go mentality. If a command is scattered and the situation demands it, we take; if the pitcher is presented with a clear, hittable moment, we go aggressively, aiming to be on time and look for mistakes in the middle of the strike zone.
Gov Josh Stein on UNC, March Madness and More - IC Daily | College Basketball
Q: What changes would you advocate for to improve the NCAA system and address the tensions between players, schools, and revenue?
Stein advocates for a system with guaranteed payments or contracts for student-athletes, plus guardrails and potentially a form of collective bargaining to ensure stability and fair compensation within a more transparent framework.
