…but is he a Zionist? Because the way he handled the students’ protests and how obnoxious he was when he interviewed those brave and upstanding pro-palestinian students makes me think he is.

  • Disappointing

So disappointed in todays show about the targeted attack on World Central Kitchen. Seldom heard such nonsense as the Ha-Aretz journalist saying: oh no, IDF didn’t kill them on purpose - why would they, they will just have to feed the Palestinians themselves now. OBVIOUSLY keeping Palestinian civilians safe and fed has not been a concern of the Israeli government at all - in fact they have been starving them purposefully! And this complete hair brain statement was left standing without a respons... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani takes listener questions
Q: What is your approach to AI in the public school system, and will you consider reduced screen time as part of classroom policies?
We are developing a comprehensive response to AI in education, engaging educators and families, and we would consider measures like reduced screen time as part of broader policy proposals to enhance safety, focus, and educational outcomes.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani takes listener questions
Q: Will you commit to keeping traditional Medicare available for city retirees and not force enrollment into Medicare Advantage?
We are not reopening the former Medicare Advantage program and remain focused on delivering high-quality care for both employees and retirees, with a clear stance against rolling back to Medicare Advantage.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani takes listener questions
Q: What concrete measures will you take to guarantee access to health care for trans New Yorkers, given federal and state pressures and private institutions in the city?
The administration is committed to protecting the right to comprehensive health care for all New Yorkers, including trans and gender-nonconforming individuals, funding gender-affirming care, and ensuring that city structures and offices are actively advancing equity and access.
The case for getting involved in state politics
Q: Why do you argue that state government can save our union rather than see power devolve further to Washington?
Because small numbers of people focused at the state level can have outsized, tangible impacts on daily life and democracy, and state-level action—unshackled by national gridlock—can move policies like paid family leave and energy innovation forward while preserving democratic processes.
The case for getting involved in state politics
Q: Tell us one personal story from your time in the New York State Legislature.
Anecdotes about the early years show how hand-to-hand the work could be, including moments of straightforward accomplishment like securing permanent funding for public housing and directing substantial new social services money to help people stay housed and employed.
