  • Glad they’re back

Really missed them when they took time off, so few solid leftwing podcasts, particularly Irish ones.

  • Excellent human centred & straight talking updates from the European Parliament

Clare & Mick are a credit to Ireland, they present topics being covered in the European Parliament & give their critique. They gave credit to other MEPs for certain actions, and call out the hypocrisy of others. If you want to stay informed about EU & global affairs, you’d do well to listen to this…

  • I4C Chancers

Listener beware - disingenuous content here. They contradict themselves depending on what suits them and support / praise despotic regimes. I no longer trust these two who like Gemma O’Doherty started as credible only to become something else entirely.

Ali argues media demonization of Iran has been part of a broader strategy by Western powers to justify sanctions and military action, while noting censorship and manipulation on social platforms influence perceptions and discourse.
EP: 225 - An interview with Iranian journalist Ali Alizadeh
Q: From your perspective, what sparked this escalation and who bears the responsibility?
Ali frames the escalation as a complex set of miscalculations by the US and Israel, compounded by Netanyahu and Trump's pressure, while emphasizing Iran's restraint and insistence on its right to enrichment, arguing that Western choices pushed the region toward conflict.
EP: 221 - A discussion with Sean Murray & Maureen O'Sullivan
