ブルジョワ出身のショーソンは、よくヨーロッパ各国を旅していたようです。その中で偶然バイロイトでワーグナーを聞く機会があり、その後セザール・フランクと共に彼の地をしばしば訪れることとなります。もともとオーケストラ版で書かれたこの『詩曲』も内性が厚く、ワーグナーの影響が色濃く出ています。

フランスの曲はあまり馴染みがないのですが聞いていて美しい曲が多く気持ちがいいです。ドビュッシーの亡き王女のパバーヌは所属しているアマオケで弾いたのですが、私には小節を超えた音符が多く難しかったです。
でもそれを克服し、そこから出てくる音は本当に美しい。

とても楽しく聴いています。お話を聴いた後でサンサーンスの交響曲第三番を全曲初めて聴きました。今まで聴いていなかったのがもったいないくらい素敵でした。こんな宇宙が紡ぎ出せるサンサーンスに会ってみたかったです。
