モーリス・ラヴェル作曲の『ツィガーヌ』の2回目です。
この超絶技巧の曲の中でも特に難しいのが冒頭のカデンツァ（独奏）です。このカデンツァの最後の方にピアノが入りますが、オーケストラ版でこの部分を演奏するのがハープです。このハープもまた難しいテクニックが要求されます。

本来舞曲である「パスピエ」はここでは軽やかな曲想で書かれていて、なぜこの曲に舞曲の名前をつけたのかは不明です。

フランスの曲はあまり馴染みがないのですが聞いていて美しい曲が多く気持ちがいいです。ドビュッシーの亡き王女のパバーヌは所属しているアマオケで弾いたのですが、私には小節を超えた音符が多く難しかったです。
でもそれを克服し、そこから出てくる音は本当に美しい。
