  • Tage Thompson needs to be traded

Tage Thompson is not an NHL center. He doesn’t have the great stick and puck handling skills required to be a NHL center. His skating does not impress me either. Maybe a winger. He does have the best slap-shot is the league, and he’s good on the kill.

He not only did not help us in the playoffs, he was a liability.

  • Boston is NOT the best draw for the Sabres

The Boston Bruins are 187-138-29-14 in the regular-season and playoffs against the Sabres all-time.

People say the Sabres drew the best opponent with the Bruins, I totally disagree. Boston has always been a thorn for the Sabres.

Recent Trends (2020s): The Bruins have dominated the Sabres, with Buffalo winning only 5 of 27 meetings.

Moreover, Boston beat Sabres 3-1 this season.

Going to be the toughest series for the Sabres this yr. Get by Boston it’s downhill from there.

  • “Sneaky” Joe

I can’t prove this, but I have to believe that Joe DiBiase is the single dumbest person being paid to provide sports commentary and analysis, maybe in the world but almost certainly here in the United States.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 1 - The tale of the near hole in one an Brian Koziol on the Sabres and Match play coming back to PGA
Q: How will the Tour Championship's new format actually work and affect the fan experience?
Koziol outlines a group-stage format where players are divided into four-person groups, with the top two advancing to a knockout round, followed by head-to-head matches and a final four-event progression that ends with one winner and significant prize money.
Brian Kozial on Sabres' Offseason and New PGA Match Play Format
Q: Brian, regardless of how teams look, do you feel the off-season has met the moment for the Sabres?
I would say no; there was a little bit to be desired since two high-quality players left and the roster didn't change much beyond those big subtractions, though there is hope from the young players to fill that gap.
Hour 2 - Sal Capaccio details his side of the near hole in one and NHL Silver
Q: Sal, what's the story on Josh Allen calling plays?
Sal explains that Josh Allen will not play in the upcoming game, but may be asked to call plays in practice; the dynamic is playful and contingent on how practices go, with Joe Brady and Josh himself joking about the role.
Hour 3 - Joe Marino with the latest on the Bills ahead of preseason week 3 and and looking at the Bills contracts
Q: What is the outlook for the left guard position and the impact of Anderson vs. Corbett?
Anderson offers higher ceiling and a smoother fit into the line's scheme, but it will require time to adapt; Corbett provides a safer floor and may serve as a stabilizing option.
Hour 3 - Joe Marino with the latest on the Bills ahead of preseason week 3 and and looking at the Bills contracts
Q: With Khalil Shakir not practicing, how should the Bills approach week one without him?
They should optimize the game plan around the players available, lean on Josh Palmer and Kincaid, and rely on depth to fill the gap while evaluating Shakir's timeline.
