  • Boston is NOT the best draw for the Sabres

The Boston Bruins are 187-138-29-14 in the regular-season and playoffs against the Sabres all-time.

People say the Sabres drew the best opponent with the Bruins, I totally disagree. Boston has always been a thorn for the Sabres.

Recent Trends (2020s): The Bruins have dominated the Sabres, with Buffalo winning only 5 of 27 meetings.

Moreover, Boston beat Sabres 3-1 this season.

Going to be the toughest series for the Sabres this yr. Get by Boston it’s downhill from there.

    Go Sabres!

  • Like talking w your best buds

This is is fantastic. Great chemistry with these two super prepared super professional broadcasters. I appreciate they just talk like we would if we were in a bar or living room or at office. No fake takes. Plus they are funny too great senses of humor. It’s THE best sportscast out there.

  • “Sneaky” Joe

I can’t prove this, but I have to believe that Joe DiBiase is the single dumbest person being paid to provide sports commentary and analysis, maybe in the world but almost certainly here in the United States.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Marek: Sabres Must Take a Big Swing for Connor Hellebuyck
Q: Jeff, good morning, we started the show saying I don't know how to feel about last night's Eastern Conference opener. What's your read on that?
Marek notes the Sabres' trajectory as a team on the rise, discusses the balance between patience and aggressiveness, and emphasizes the importance of goaltending and cap flexibility in shaping a potential 'big swing' offseason move.
Paul Hamilton: Sabres' Speed and Execution Overwhelmed the Bruins
Q: What stood out most to you from the Boston series and the Sabres' speed advantage?
The Sabres consistently used speed to overwhelm Boston, especially in transition and in pressuring the Bruins at the blue line, which allowed them to control the tempo and create high-quality scoring chances.
Hour 4 - Sal Capaccio on Voluntary Mini Camp and more on the playoff series
Q: Sal, what stood out from last night's Sabres win and how does that shape the team going into Game 2?
The comeback showed depth and resilience, with strong pressure late in the game and a belief that they can ride the momentum into Game 2; meanwhile, there are still concerns about the power play and defensive coverage that need adjustments.
Best Bills Interviews on WGR: April 13-17
Q: What is your take on the concept of trading down from 26?
The consensus is that trading down is attractive because the draft lacks a clear blue-chip top tier this year; moving down could yield more second-day picks and better overall value, as long as teams are willing to trade up with you.
Best Bills Interviews on WGR: April 13-17
Q: Have you settled on where you think the Bills should go or what they will do in round one?
Trapasso argues the Bills should lean edge rusher or wide receiver depending on how the board falls, with a tendency toward defense in the first round, though receiver remains a plausible option if a top target is available. He also notes the DJ Moore trade may lessen the urgency at receiver while keeping viable value at other spots.
