  • Practical & practice-able tips!

Love this podcast for its practical advice! I always (mentally) jot down a few action items during each episode. I love how real people from the industry come to give their inside advice. It’s lighthearted (thanks to Robert!) but it’s based in the reality of what it’s like being an actor trying to navigate an ever-changing industry.

Q: But I will say, the first question I always like to ask here after I accost people with genuine compliments is how are you at accepting complements?
Lena explains she struggles with accepting compliments due to a background in ballet and a tendency to view praise as less valid than critique; she is learning to receive with grace and to move past the reflex to deflect or downplay praise.
