I love this podcast! Jonah’s kindness and spot on questions help guide the discussion. And there’s a wealth of knowledge to be had here, not just for those in law school, but even beyond.
Jonah Perlin’s How I Lawyer Podcast is one of the best legal podcasts - best podcasts, period - out there. more
Enjoy the coverage of diverse subjects around legal practice. Discovering areas that never thought could be “practicable”. Law students and legal professionals could benefit so much from those real-life experiences shared in this podcast. Even for an outsider like myself, just did a GDL (UK), find it entertaining and informative at the same time. Please keep doing it until you run out of lawyers to interview 😉. Thank you.
Just listened to the interview episode with Allison. Agree with the advice about focusing on skills development first, as law students can always learn a new area of law but it’s important to have those experiences as early as possible to be able to do that. And congratulations on How I Lawyer's 120th episode! Cheers to the consistency!
Prof. Perlin’s chats with practitioners from a variety of practice areas provide a valuable resource for law students. Students can listen to episodes with lawyers working in areas of interest and get a sense of what that practice area is really like. My students are reporting on episodes in class, giving students a glimpse into practice areas they are considering and other the students didn’t know existed.
