I’m running a game of Spire but I’m a first-time GM. These guys’ playthrough of Spire really helped me understand the game mechanics and how to go about writing a story, and it was intriguing and hilarious to boot

The show centers on group-based, dice-driven role-playing across a rotating set of RPG systems, with a strong emphasis on character banter, world-building, and humorous storytelling. Episodes frequently blend paranormal or fantastical investigations with moments of personal backstory, camaraderie, and lighthearted chaos, all paired with crisp editing and high production quality. Listeners likely enjoy meta-game chatter, clever dice-driven moments, and campaigns that mix adventure with character-driven humor. A standout trait is the consistent mix of official adventures and homegrown campaigns, along with recurring dynamics among a core cast that keeps the tone warm, witty, and welcoming to newcomers and veteran players alike.
