  • How 'bout that sportsball?

Came here as a fan of Multitude's other podcasts. I'm the furthest thing from a basketball fan; I have often used basketball as a demonstrative example of "Things I don't like." Just goes to show that I'd listen to these hosts talk about any topic, because they're so much fun to listen to. Their comedic quirkiness and banter never fails to cheer me up.

There might even be the makings of a sports fan in me somewhere. I do like sports fiction and movies, and as this podcast demonstrates, real lif... more

  • Very fun

I don’t like sports. So when I gave this a try because I like Mike Schubert's podcasts I wasn’t expecting to like it. But I did. So anybody out there who likes Mike’s podcast give HORSE a try.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 201: Are You Gonna Put This Joke In Your Skit?
Q: What is the functional difference between an umpire, a referee, and an official in basketball?
The hosts suggest there isn't a strict functional difference in ordinary basketball terms; the terms are used interchangeably in many contexts, though there can be a lead referee and supporting officials in NBA games, with the terminology sometimes varying by country and sport.”
Ep. 199: Grass Considerations
Q: Do you think the game shift is making it more or less interesting?
I don't see things shifting back to the way they were as the mid-range jump shot is now regarded as the worst shot.
Ep. 199: Grass Considerations
Q: Are guys having lower percentages because it's harder to hit from back there?
It's the analytics that have transformed the game and teams prefer either scoring super close to the basket or shooting three-pointers.
Ep. 198: The Illawarra Mamawala’s
Q: Do we think it's Sacramento or Sacramento?
It's got to be the hard T given that like, I'm assuming the town is named after the Spanish word for sacrament.
Ep. 197: You’re A Delightful Tosser w/ James Hamilton
Q: What has been the most heartbreaking injury you both have experienced during your years as fans?
Both hosts discuss significant injuries that affected their favorite teams and players, notably Derrick Rose.
