That industry & town has been very much exposed as sleazy, rapey, misogynist, racist, soul crushing, treat people like garbage industries there is and the first thing this podcast does is preach wokeness. I’m done.

Thank god more liberal noise in podcast form. Shouldn’t y’all be rioting somewhere ?
This podcast supposedly focuses on bringing diversity into Hollywood, yet the first three guests are all African-American, followed by some Caucasians and Latinx. But where are the Asian voices? Asians are the largest population on the planet (60% total) with India snd China together comprising 36% of global population, yet seem to always get short-shrift when it comes to inclusion regarding diversity in the States. So strange.
While this podcast brings up some really important points and has some pretty high profile interviews, I was disappointed as it does feel like it’s interviewing people about more or less about the same talking points of inequality, rather than the systemic inequalities of the business as a whole. Yes, absolutely Hollywood’s historic racial and gender inequalities are of upmost importance to be addressed.
