  • Ease of reference

The speakers name in visible but you have to open each one to find subject. This should be reversed unless the speaker is the star and the subject incidental. Otherwise, enjoyable.

History of LGBT Activism in Ireland.
Q: How do we continue having that resilience to resist against that backlash?
By confronting aggression directly and remaining visible and loud about our identity and rights, rather than retreating or being calm in the face of bullying.
James M Dillon. Episode 3 of Recording the Revolution - The Harlan Strauss Tapes.
Q: Looking at the development of political parties here in Ireland over the years, has Fine Gael developed an ideology vis-a-vis Fianna Fáil?
Dillon indicates that ideologically there were no substantial differences, but historically political dynamics differed markedly.
James M Dillon. Episode 3 of Recording the Revolution - The Harlan Strauss Tapes.
Q: Was violence necessary in 1916?
Dillon argues violence was not needed since self-government had already been secured through the Home Rule Act of 1914 with over 100,000 Irishmen fighting for Britain.
James M Dillon. Episode 3 of Recording the Revolution - The Harlan Strauss Tapes.
Q: Do you feel that 1916 and its aftermath was a real revolution for Ireland?
James Dillon states it was a disaster for Ireland, resulting in Partition and civil war instead of unity.
Maire Comerford. Episode 4 of Recording the Revolution - The Harlan Strauss Tapes.
Q: After the, we'll say after 1922 or so, did your thoughts change?
No, I did not. We never thought we ought to surrender and we were tremendously solid on that.
