  • Keeping in touch

I love this podcast. For me it’s a way of keeping in touch with all things Dublin. I live in the US and read the Irish Times regularly. But Three Castles podcasts are what start interesting conversations with cousins and friends. I like going deeper into one place. I like the mix of history and contemporary stories. I like Donal’s awareness of different types of music. I sometimes fall behind but I do catch up. I haven’t missed an episode in years. Also… I’ve long felt that this role of chronicl... more

  • Fantastic podcast

Donal has a gift for turning streets, stories, and forgotten voices into something vivid, human, and deeply engaging. Every episode makes you look at Dublin, and Ireland, differently. Meticulously researched, beautifully told, and never dull. Essential listening for anyone who loves history with heart.
