Hit or miss. The US Embassy and The Mento episodes definitely a miss. Donal needs to work in his pronunciation but overall it’s definitely a worthwhile listen for those of us interested in social history.
The love for Dublin and attention to detail and research comes through on each episode. As someone who is passionate about the history of their home town here in the states, this podcast is an inspiration.
The reach of this pod is exceptional. There is such a range of topics and guests that each show just continues to impress. It’s now my go to pod.
I have now lived away from Ireland for over 40 years now. I grew up in an Ireland where history was taught under the parameters of very restrictive textbooks and teaching methods. This podcast gives a new perspective on some very interesting topics. Thank you Donal Fallon for your insights and enthusiasm. Keep up the great work
