  • The host is terrible

    The host in memorialising the civil war is terrible, my god he doesn’t let the women speak more than 3 sentences without interrupting and talking over them. It’s relentless and cringeworthy. I don’t know why he feels he can do that to them constantly. You end up just listening to these women anticipating the next interruption at any moment. He sometimes interrupts them to say something they are obvious about to say, infuriating and patronising. There’s ways of having a discussion without talking... more

    Interesting discussions, let down by poor audio quality. Some episodes are literally unlistenable. I am working through from the earliest shows, so perhaps the recordings will improve.
