  • Unparalleled

It takes a certain kind of personality to tackle a subject in its entirety from start to finish.

And what greater subject could there be than the story of humanity?

Mr Hasler is putting together an enormously ambitious project here. By the end, he could reasonably hold the accolade of the most complete and comprehensive oral history ever told.

And the way he has done it - with kindness, humility, and boundless curiosity - makes it all the more satisfying to experience.

Thank you so much Chri... more

  • Current favorite

I’m currently on disability in the USA which doesn’t give you much money, but I wanted to say I am in love with this podcast. Binged straight from the 1st to where I am now on vol1 ep49. I will definitely continue to listen after I’m caught up but I’m sure I’ll be a bit sad that I can’t listen to hours in a row. I might just loop back to the beginning so I can stack more episodes up. 🤷🏽‍♂️ regardless thanks from Tennessee.

  • Charming and fun

I recently had the urge to learn all of history from the beginning of pre-history, how cool to find a podcast that does exactly that! Chris seems like a normal dude who just likes history like the rest of us, which is quite refreshing in the era of super produced podcasts with 5 ad breaks. Keep it up!

  • An attitude of gratitude for this masterpiece

Hundreds of Podcasts over thousands of miles. I stumbled onto this podcast looking to better understand how the stories from our past fit together. Chris certainly has filled in the gaps and explained shifts in Hegemony over the millennia. I listen to his show while mountain biking rural areas of California. His soothing voice and untold hours of work have kept me company through river crossings and over mountain passes this year. I am so grateful….I’ve listened to every episode now and can... more

  • Fantastic and thorough

This podcast is a wonderful way to learn about Human (as well as a little pre-modern-human) history. It’s also nice and somewhat relaxing for those of you with an active mind, in need of something to get out of your own head for a bit. Thank you Chris!
