A superb podcast. Well worth subscribing.
Back in high school I had pretty basic and boring history courses, and then avoided history in college. Many years later now, I sought out a way to take a new run at history from the beginning. I love that Chris starts from the true beginning and then, roughly chronologically, takes me around the world to understand key events of each era.
This is the entire reason I have the Apple Podcasts app.
Exactly the type of detailed deep dive into history I’ve always wanted.
For all those people who always think „But how did it come to that? How did it all start?“ when listening to other podcasts. Chris is very thorough and thankfully uses a lot of reminders, else the listener would get lost im history.
I like the narrator, he has a personable tone, but his information is consistently coming from a Judeo Christian European centered vaguely racist perspective.
Alternatively, I would recommend Tides of History or the Fall of Civilizations Podcast.
Their information is much more broad in perspective.
