Des Latham’s previous entry into podcasts consisted of a history of South African Border Wars, which is a triumph. Now Des has turned his considerable storytelling skills to the entire history of South Africa and has yielded another masterpiece! 🇿🇦⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Gripping stories of our history and how we got to where we are today. Des tells all sides equally. Wish school history just would listen to this.
Exceptional! Well done Des!
I thoroughly enjoy Des’ podcast!
Learnt more about SA history than 12 years at school between 1964 and 1976 in apartheid years. Propaganda in those history lessons emphasising Afrikaner exploits (and I am half Afrikaans) distracted from SA’s fascinating past. Have often listened to most episodes twice because of the great detail. Just so listenable. Thanks Des and I was at Rhodes just a year or so ahead of you doing geology.
