  • One of my fav podcasts for the last 7 years. I was initially drawn to it for my love of the early middle ages. I really enjoy the format. My other fav history podcasts are sequential going through year, decade period to tell a complete story in detail. Sam focuses on the interesting bits of lots of topics and varies the length to what you need to know. He covers amazing ground yet still manages to explain things I know nothing about. I really should give him a dollar

  • Best History Podcast by far

I’ve been a fan of Historiansplaining for a few years now and in many regards I don’t want it to get more popular since it’s such a hidden gem and too much popularity always seems to ruin things like this, but this is by far the best history podcast that you can find. Sam keeps things refreshingly neutral for the most part. The tone of his voice and delivery is perfect too, and the topics are usually fascinating and usually less commonly covered topics.
