  • Maths can be fun and create purpose

Maths was the pain and horror of my childhood days at German Gymnasium. That may have been totally different if my teachers would have explained it the way Sam Clausen does at K12 center for teacher excellence.

I really enjoyed Sam Clausen’s October 2024 lecture on how to teach maths with explanations, questions, providing every day life context up to demonstrating in inherent answers and questions of logic, life, creation, world view and purpose in maths.

I have enjoyed listening. There was a man that told me “the truth is anything I tell you that you believe”. It really has caused a problem but I think most of your podcast are verifiably true.

I have bought “The US Constitution”, A Reader from Hillsdale College and receive “The Imprimis”. Every podcast and piece of literature that Larry Arnn and Mark Levin w... more

Pietas is the obligation to gods, country, and family; teachers can convey it by showing how Aeneas prioritizes duties over personal desires, such as leaving Troy with household gods and guiding the Trojan lineage into Italy, thereby modeling responsible leadership and communal responsibility.
The Aeneid and Roman Mythology
Q: Who is Aeneas and why is he important to Roman myth?
Aeneas is a Trojan hero who, through divine support, survives the Trojan War and becomes the legendary founder of Rome, linking Trojan heritage with Roman identity and illustrating the Romans' adoption of Greek myth for their own national narrative.
Success in Teaching Modern Language in Classical Schools
Q: What advice would you give a new modern foreign language teacher?
Don't be too hard on yourself at first; focus on classroom management to create an environment where listening and structured instruction can happen in the target language.
