Familiar Suns season two. Those who have listened to all of Highly Suspect will know just how melodramatic the title is, but there’s more to it than that! We’re trying out a more video game like structure for this season (more on that in the episode)... more
Just guys being dudes. And they’re genuine. And they bully the only force user player all the time. Great times for listening or learning how to play with your friends.
I run a few different games and highly suspect is a great way to get ideas for neat opponents and plot points. Production quality is high for a home brew project, enjoyable characters and clean enough for family listening if you have kids who like tabletop. When I have friends who don’t know what rpgs are like but they like star wars, I send them to this podcast so they can see how fun this hobby is.
You don’t understand how much I love this show: I could never get into TTRPG podcasts because it annoyed me that I couldn’t join in, but this one is so good I was able to just sit back and enjoy.
I started listening to this in preparation for an EotE game I’m running but I fell in love in the first 15 minutes of the first episode. I then binged the first two seasons and about half of season 3 in 2 weeks, I now listen to new episodes as they’re released (I used to laugh at people who did that wi... more
I play the EOTE RPG weekly with my friends and this podcast is so awesome! Love all the characters. Even the little bat thing
This show is a love hate relationship with me. Love because it’s really well done, has hilarious characters, and has an interesting storyline.
Hate because I’m not playing in it.
Give it a listen.
Stumbled upon this through a mention on the subreddit. So glad I did. A great group of guys, a great story with funny moments and easy to follow action, and an amazing resource for me as an aspiring dm looking to transition his group from D&D. Only 4 episodes in but can’t wait to keep making my way though. Well done, gentlemen!
Edit: Now on season 2 and it only gets better! Loved the bonus content and literally had to take a break from bonus episode 2 from laughing too much at work.
When starting this show I’ve never listened to a rpg style podcast. I actually didn’t really care for them. But this is more than just another podcast. It’s Highly Suspect.
The story itself is captivating and keeps you along for the ride with well executed twists and cliff hangers. The characters are relatable and funny but at the same time can distance themselves away and grow effectively where you can connect with each of them a little bit more intimately. The players also do a good job at s... more
This podcast has everything an awesome story needs and it is all delivered by a bunch of friends having a good time. The way all RPGs should be played.
I know most of these boys, and dang they make a great show! I’m just sorry I hadn’t found it sooner! If you’re looking for a fun space romp you’ve found it here.
This podcast has me laughing so hard! Some of the lines are so good! I need more! More I say!
This is one of the best podcasts for edge of the empire I have listened too!!
