In this series we tell the shocking stories of women whose possible homicides go unrecognised, and uncounted, by police. In the UK, we’re told that two women a week are killed by a current or former partner – but these are just the killings we know about. The true toll could be much, much higher. In Hidden Homicides, investigative reporter Louise Tickle uncovers harrowing cases of killers missed, ... more

Valuable investigation, but what are the police’s perspectives? Practices around policing these cases obviously need to improve dramatically, but what are their experiences of working these cases on the ground?
Excellent investigative podcast on domestic abuse and murder of vulnerable women and the ignorance of police.
Hopefully this podcast can further support the change that is needed in our understanding DV. Really good listen!
Really excellently put together series. This kind of in-depth research, exposing the limitations and/or negligence of governmental organisations that are meant to keep us safe, creates the body of evidence needed to shame the government into making necessary changes. I would have loved for this show to get a lot more attention than it did, but I am confident that once those changes do come around, it is shows like these that fuel that fire.
Very well done. A personal note my mother was a social worker for Chicago’s county 20+ years - she started the domestic violence unit in the 90s - it hadn’t existed before that. I’m praying for these families and all families that are affected by domestic violence. Thank you for advocating for them, for us
