I’ve been trying to avoid watching a bunch of News because it’s so gosh darn terrible lately, and it’s easy to get sucked in. I found this Podcast when it first launched, and it’s really a perfect, easy, quick insight to what’s going on. Yaz is a great interviewer, simply states facts, and does a great job at breaking everything down in a purposeful and meaningful way. I will say my favorite part is her silly puns and outros. Great podcast!
I am a huge fan of this podcast - I never miss an episode. I have been particularly impressed with their coverage of all things Middle East, especially with Yasmin’s recent trip to Lebanon. I appreciate her impeccable reporting, her wit and her humor. Equally impressive are the journalists reporting from the field.
When I first signed up I was looking for a 15 minute news recap - and now episodes are approaching 30 minutes. It’s good info, but I was drawn in initially because I thought it might be like the old radio network news from back in the day.
well, presented an interesting contrast between Wall Street and Main Street

Here's a rapid-paced daily briefing blending hard-edged politics, global affairs, and timely cultural coverage with field reporting and expert context. Episodes frequently pair NBC News journalists with subject-matter guests to unpack domestic political dynamics, international conflicts, national security, and technology trends, all while interleaving sports angles and lighter human-interest moments. The format is fast, data-driven, and accessible, often weaving on-the-ground reporting, legal or policy analysis, and timely breaking developments into a cohesive narrative. A standout is the frequent inclusion of correspondents with frontline perspectives, plus a rotating cast of expert commentators and notable guests from entertainment and la... more
