I tried. I was 22 in 2012..not sure if they quite understand these characters and no to the wokeness. Although this podcast isn’t for me I do love their passion and hope they continue to push through.
I can’t understand 90% of the words Evan is saying.
The vocal fry and upspeak is so INSANE at first I thought the hosts were being ironical. They’re supposed to be representing Gen Z but sound more like California valley like omg totally girls/guys from the 80s. However, their Insta is cute and they communicate much better in written form so check that out.
I’m old (41!) but really enjoy listening to the hosts’ and guests’ various takes about this very clever series. Found it’s feet after a few eps and now confidently drill down into analytic themes, character arcs etc. I enjoy the input from those in the industry who comment on costume, dialogue and casting from someone who is not in the industry!
When they admitted they didn’t know not everyone had a housekeeper sent me to space
