  • Most fun time I've had being angry at people on the Internet

Ranking games, what could go wrong? Everything! The reviewers don't agree with me at all! But that's ok; they're a fun bunch of professional and semi-professional gaming personalities well-versed in games old and new. They make me so mad with their ranking decisions and opinions and I love it!

I'd love to see where they will put Bonk's Revenge for the TG-16/PCE, thus I nominate!

  • It’s fine.

I wish they’d do one game per episode like a normal podcast. Not sure how they got this far with this format. When I listen, it’s usually just half an episode.

  • Great research on video games

But maybe need to expand researching subjects they talk about in relation to video games. Also some hosts get TOO LOUD about their opinions under the guise of a “lively conversation”. Please stop that.

    Less Australian guy.

It’s hard to take someone who pronounces Mario as MAYrio seriously as a games journalist.

  • Well.... Heard some good things about this podcast. Listened and content was pretty good and thought I'd for sure be sticking around. Until I got about halfway through the first episode and realized it's yet another podcast that like to make strong political statements COMPLETELY unrelated to the content.

It doesn't matter whether I agree with the statements or not. They just have no place in the content.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

G-Taste Mahjong (and 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand!)
Q: What makes G-Taste Mahjong stand out among two-player mahjong games?
Its arcadey power-up system, life mechanic, and the way the game visually previews Richie waits, plus the PS2 version's accessibility and the arcade version's extra content make it feel distinct, even if the story and presentation are weak.
StarCraft (and Darkwing Duck (NES)!
Q: What made StarCraft so influential in its era?
Its combination of three distinct factions with unique playstyles, a solid single-player campaign, early and stable multiplayer via Battle.net, and Blizzard's hardware-conscious design created a viral formula that propelled RTS into the mainstream and laid the groundwork for modern esports.
Demon Turf (and Super Contra!)
Q: How does Super Contra compare to Demon Turf?
Super Contra is considered harsher in design and gameplay dynamics, presenting numerous challenges while Demon Turf, despite some annoying elements, is enjoyable and charming.
Demon Turf (and Super Contra!)
Q: What do you think of the game design of Demon Turf?
The design is reminiscent of Mario 64 but with a unique narrative involving Beebs, and while it has many creative aspects, there are significant frustrations, particularly around jumping mechanics and enemy interactions.
Clock Tower (and Uru/Myst Online!)
Q: Is this game set in Norway?
Yes, the setting for Clock Tower is in Norway.
