The guy seems likable, but I just don’t really get it. I’m not in my 20s so it might be a generational thing, but it feels like he reflects just a little bit too much about himself and not about a subject. Also, he talks too fast. Let it breathe man. You seem like an intelligent and thoughtful guy. Slow down a little. People will still listen.

  • Meh …

One guys opinion, not necessarily facts. To be fair, he doesn’t seem to be a jerk, and I didn’t listen to his interviews of others. When I was 24, I didn’t have the world figured out; I doubt he does.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pick Up Lines, Age Gaps, and Salary Negotiations, Dear Guyset
Q: How do I negotiate my salary?
Lead with tangible value and impact: quantify how you've helped the company make more money or save costs, provide three to five concrete examples, and tie them to potential future contributions; present a clear case of why you deserve a raise rather than simply asking for more money.
Pick Up Lines, Age Gaps, and Salary Negotiations, Dear Guyset
Q: How much should you be texting when you first start seeing someone?
There isn't a fixed rule; be active and engaging if you're into them, but avoid overthinking a quota. The key is to maintain genuine interest and escalate as the relationship progresses, not force a schedule.
Pick Up Lines, Age Gaps, and Salary Negotiations, Dear Guyset
Q: How do you prepare for an interview quickly?
Do quick, targeted preparation: research the company and interviewer on LinkedIn, understand the industry landscape and competitors, know your own strengths and quantified contributions, and prepare two to three strong examples of value you've delivered; end with thoughtful questions about current projects.
Pick Up Lines, Age Gaps, and Salary Negotiations, Dear Guyset
Q: Are there good pick up lines?
Not really; unless you're naturally funny and quick-witted, classic lines don't reliably work. The advised approach is a confident, simple introduction: state your name, offer a compliment, and consider buying a drink if appropriate.
She Didn't Text Back, Dear Guyset
Q: What makes a good hinge profile?
The host teases a future deep dive and mentions gathering perspectives from many people, implying that an effective hinge profile should reflect authenticity and a mix of qualities that invite conversation; a more detailed, data-driven answer is promised in a future episode.
