《良宵引》曲谱最早见于明代《松弦馆琴谱》（1614年）。“引”有序奏之意。《良宵引》多认为其取意于月夜轻风、良宵雅兴，描绘了宁静的夜晚、清风拂面的意境。乐曲虽短小，但起承转合，结构精巧，节短韵长。
全曲除了在“转”的部分有较大的起伏变化外，始终贯串“气度安闲”的情趣。 乐曲开头的泛音，给人一种安静、详和的感觉；结尾处泛音再现，首尾呼应。《琴学初津》后记中说：“其中吟猱绰注，起承转合，井井有条，浓淡合度，意味深长，洵美曲也。”
《酒狂》最早出自明代《神奇秘谱》（1425年），相传为魏晋时期“竹林七贤”之一的阮籍所作，以酒醉佯狂表示对统治者的批判与不合作。《神奇秘谱》有解题云：“籍叹道之不行，与时不合，故忘世虑于形骸之外，托兴于酗酒以乐终身之志，其趣也若是。岂真嗜于酒耶？有道存焉！妙妙于其中，故不为俗子道，达者得之。”
乐曲采用罕见的三拍子形式，形成头重脚轻的律动，表现了人在酒醉后步伐踉跄的状态。尾声“仙人吐酒声”运用“拂”“长锁”等指法模拟倾泻酒声。是一首比较独特的古琴传统曲目。
94版电视剧《三国演义》中诸葛亮角色的插曲，也是剧中诸葛亮空城计时所弹奏的乐曲。由王健作词，谷建芬作曲，在剧中多次出现，如卧龙出山、空城退敌、出师未捷身先死时等。
